Quarterly Strategy Days
Keep your leadership team aligned and your strategy moving every 90 days.
Return to the working plan, discuss the issues that matter and agree the next quarter’s priorities. Strategy Days combine strategic review, practical decisions and leadership development.

Shared priorities across the leadership group.
Strategy Days help executives work as one leadership team with shared responsibility for the whole business. The discussion brings cross-team decisions, resources and competing priorities into the same room.
Your strategic or annual operating plan is the foundation. Each quarter gives the team an opportunity to learn from results and refine the assumptions behind the plan.

Review, challenge, learn and reset.
Review the results
Use the dashboard to assess progress and identify what is on track, needs attention or requires action.
Resolve the key issues
Work through the strategic questions, risks and opportunities that need the leadership team’s attention.
Build leadership capability
Include a targeted learning segment that supports the team’s current business and leadership needs.
Reset the next 90 days
Confirm priorities, owners, measures and timelines. Cascade the updated actions to teams and individuals.
Prepared with your leadership team.
Before the day
Russell works with the CEO or senior executive to agree the agenda. Leaders contribute issues, progress reports and pre-session input.
During the day
Review the plan, debate important issues and complete the leadership learning segment. Agree what the team will deliver next.
After the day
Circulate the notes, actions and revised 90-day plan. Debrief the session and confirm the next date and preparation.
Make time for the decisions that matter.
- Agree the outcomes and focus for the session.
- Review the dashboard, quarterly results and outstanding commitments.
- Work through the selected strategic issues and opportunities.
- Complete the targeted leadership learning module.
- Agree the next quarter’s priorities and resource decisions.
- Confirm ownership, measures, deadlines and communication to teams.
The agenda evolves with the business. Strategy Days are usually delivered as an annual programme of quarterly sessions, with additional annual or mid-year planning work agreed where needed.
Update the thinking as you learn.
What did implementation reveal? Which assumptions still hold? What needs to change?
Those questions keep the straw man strategy useful. The team brings evidence from the last quarter and adjusts the working plan before committing to the next one.
Leadership development and Executive Coaching can provide further support for the people leading implementation.

How are Strategy Days different from a Planning Workshop?
A Planning Workshop develops or renews the strategy. Strategy Days are the continuation between strategic plans: they use your working plan to review progress, resolve important issues and agree the next quarter’s priorities.
Do we need an existing strategic plan?
An existing strategic or annual operating plan provides a useful foundation. If there is no suitable plan, Russell can help develop or refine a straw man framework. The additional planning work is scoped with you.
Who attends and how long is the day?
The executive or senior leadership team attends, often around six to ten people. A full-day session is typical, with the format tailored to the team and agreed outcomes.
How is the agenda developed?
Russell works with the CEO or a senior executive. Leaders contribute their issues and progress through pre-session input. The agenda and leadership learning focus are agreed in advance.
Does the day include leadership development?
Yes. A targeted learning module or masterclass is part of the quarterly session. It may be supported by agreed reading or listening between sessions.
What happens after the session?
The notes, actions and updated 90-day plan are circulated. A short debrief helps refine the process and the team confirms the next date and preparation.
What is the investment?
Quarterly Strategy Days start from A$5,000 + GST per day, including preparation, facilitation, a leadership capability module and follow-up. Travel is charged at cost. Additional plan development, diagnostics or documentation are scoped separately.
Can you facilitate a workshop away from the Gold Coast?
Yes. Russell works with leadership teams across Australia and New Zealand. Location, format and any travel requirements are agreed in the proposal.
What happens in the introductory strategy call?
The free 20-minute call explores your priorities, challenges and the decisions your team needs to make. You can discuss which service fits and whether a tailored proposal is the right next step.
What happens between Strategy Days?
Your leaders carry out the agreed actions, monitor their measures and review progress through the business’s regular operating rhythm. Any additional coaching or support between quarterly sessions is agreed separately.
How much preparation do leaders need?
Leaders contribute their issues and progress updates before the session. They review relevant reports and any agreed leadership reading or listening. Russell agrees the pre-work with your team.
